A hackathon is like a creative sprint where people collaborate together to solve problems, build new ideas, or make something useful. It’s not about “hacking” in the criminal or negative sense. Think of it more like inventors in a workshop, but instead of hammers and nails - they’re using laptops, whiteboards, and ideas.

People across industries with tech skills (like programmers or designers) and others with big ideas gather in one place (online or in-person event). They form small teams and try to build a working solution to a challenge in a short amount of time.
